Lindsay Competes at Regional Poetry Out Loud Competition

On February 23rd, Landon Lindsay represented Vidalia High School at the 2019 South Georiga Regional Poetry Out Loud Competition.  Landon performed Thomas Hood's "I Remember, I Remember" and "The Chimney Sweeper:  My Mother Died When I Was Very Young" by William Blake.  Poetry Out Loud:  National Recitation Contest was created by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundataion; the contest seeks to increase awareness in the art of performing poetry, with substantial cash prizes being awared to schools that participate, and includes representatives from each of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U. S. Virgin Islands.
